Hoewel we eind augustus tropische temperaturen hadden, begint 31 augustus ons ijshockeyseizoen. Het bestuur en de vele vrijwilligers zijn hard aan het werk geweest om het seizoen goed van start te laten gaan en graag brengt het bestuur jullie op de hoogte van de laatste ontwikkelingen.

Seizoensopening en -sluiting

Het seizoen begint officieel op 31 augustus en loopt tot 23 maart 2025. De 400M baan gaat open op 12 oktober. Vanaf dat moment is toegang tot de hal alleen nog mogelijk met je halpas. In de volgende nieuwsbrief staat informatie over de halpassen voor het geval je er geen hebt of een vervangende pas nodig hebt.

Krabbelbaan vanaf 12 oktober en zomerijs 2025

De krabbelbaan gaat dit seizoen open op 12 oktober. Er is nog geen formeel besluit genomen over het zomerijshockeyseizoen voor 2025, maar na de technische keuring in het naseizoen ziet het er lovend uit dat er wel een zomer ijshockeyseizoen kan zijn. Begin 2025 wordt gekeken of zomerijs ook daadwerkelijk mogelijk is. 

Technische Commissie

De Technische Commissie (TC) is opgestart en in de maand september informeren we jullie over de plannen, doelen en het functioneren van de TC.

AT1: eerste wedstrijden op 28 september en 5 oktober

De eerste thuiswedstrijd (Beker van Nederland) van ons 1e team is op zaterdag 28 september tegen Nijmegen om 17:45 in de Jaap Eden Hal en de eerste Eredivisie thuiswedstrijd is op 5 oktober tegen Den Bosch waar we ook onze kampioensbanner zullen ophijsen. Met John Versteeg als onze hoofdtrainer en een groot aantal nieuwe spelers kijken we uit naar weer een heel goed seizoen.

Je kunt je seizoenkaarten of losse wedstrijdkaarten kopen via onze nieuwe ticketpartner.

21 september: Ron Berteling Schaal

Op 21 september organiseren we ook weer de Ron Berteling Schaal die gespeeld wordt tussen Den Haag en Heerenveen.  We hopen dat zoveel mogelijk leden in staat zullen zijn om dit evenement te komen ondersteunen. Bestel kaarten!

Bestellen wedstrijdshirt & wie wil dit coördineren?

Als laatste willen we iedereen laten weten dat we wedstrijdshirts en kousen weer kunnen bestellen via deze website/link. Er zullen vier bestelmomenten zijn en de deadline voor het eerste bestelmoment is 7 september. Daarna duurt het 3-4 weken totdat de shirts binnen zijn.

Het Bestuur wil ook graag Ivonne Schickler bedanken voor al haar werk omtrent de shirtbestellingen al deze jaren en we zijn heel hard op zoek naar een of twee vrijwilligers die graag deze taak willen overnemen (na een volledige training). Laat het graag weten via voorzitter@amsterdamtigers.com als je interesse hebt.

Parkeren & komende ALV op 9 november 2024

Begin september informeren we jullie over de parkeersituatie rond de ijshal en de mogelijkheden die er zijn.

Tot laten we graag weten dat op 9 november 2024 de volgende Algemene Leden Vergadering (ALV) op de agenda staat.

Dear Members,

Even though we’ve been having very hot weather these past few weeks we will be beginning our ice hockey season the 31^st of August.  The rink has assured us that despite the hot weather they will be able to complete the ice surface for the start of the season but if the weather continues, we do run the risk that the rink needs to close again. The Bestuur and so many volunteers have been hard at work to get the season off to a good start and see below a few updates to get the season going. Over the course of the next few months, we will be providing additional updates on other items relating to the development of the club. 

Season Opening and Closing

The season will officially open on the 31^st of August and will run until the 23^rd of March, 2025. The 400M baan will open on the 12^th of October which is also the time when you will need to access the hall via your hall pass. In our next update we will provide additional information on the hall passes in case you don’t have one or need a replacement.

Krabbelbaan and summer ice 2025

The Krabbelbaan will open this year on the 12^th of October at the same time as the 400M baan.

There has not been a formal decision on the summer ice hockey season for 2025 but the technical evaluation of the ice hall after last season determined that summer ice should be possible in 2025. A final determination will be made early 2025.

Other Elements

Furthermore, we have a few other elements that are important to know:

• The Technische Commissie (TC) is up and running and later in the month of September we will send more information to members around our plans, goals, and functioning of the TC. 

• The first home game (Beker van Nederland) of our 1^st team will be on the 28^th of September against Nijmegen at 17:45 at the Jaap Eden Hal. Our first regular competition home game will be on the 5^th of October against Den Bosch at 17:45 where we will also be raising our 2023-2024 championship banner. With John Versteeg as our head coach and a host of exciting new players we’re looking forward to another very good season. Buy your season tickets or individual game tickets via this link.

• We are organizing the Ron Berteling Schaal again this year on the 21^st of September. There will be a para demo, and an All-Girls-Clinic, and the Ron Berteling Schaal game between Den Haag and Heerenveen.  We very much hope that as many members as possible will be able to come and support this event. • Our ALV will be held on November 9^th at the Jaap Eden Hal pending confirmation of the available space in the Ron Berteling Zaal.

• We will follow-up with an update on the parking situation next week which has been a developing situation. 

• Finally, we would like to inform everyone that game shirts and socks can be ordered again via this website/link. There will be four times during the season that shirts can be ordered and the first deadline is the 7^th of September after which it will take 3-4 weeks before the shirts arrive. The Bestuur would also like to thank Ivonne Schickler for her tireless work these years in managing the ordering process.

We’re now looking to find two volunteers who can take over these duties (after sufficient training). If you are interested, please let the Bestuur know via: voorzitter@amsterdamtigers.com.
